The comments below were unsolicited, most of them received by email in the weeks following performances during the last several years. We appreciate the thoughtful reflection to us by our audiences. Meredith Monk's words above are a guiding awareness in all that we do.

• I've seen/heard Sound Circle many times but am still taken by surprise by the beauty of their singing and their stage presence.

• I was so moved by many aspects of the show, and in a different way than usual. The personal nature of some of the story / songs was particularly meaningful to me. We humans have affinity for ideas and a spiritual connection to music, but that connection to each other that was so amply shared in this particular concert certainly awakened my most loving self that night.

• Thanks for another superb concert full of warmth and human goodness. Tears came to my eyes several times.

• As I awoke this morning, and since, Appetite has been on my mind, new thoughts and associations attaching themselves to last night’s performance. The concert morphed from lively and robust to smooth and soft, from joyful to aching… It bore the tension between appetite and letting go. The risk of greed, the freedom to hope or strive, and the impermanence of life, of everything… The message of the concert is far more complex than an admonition to stop with the obsessive wanting. It’s also a gentle, even joyful celebration of the experience of wanting—of appetite that propels us forward to self-expression and engagement in our lives.
• The theme resonated deeply with me on multiple levels. Many of the pieces performed tonight remind me of the beauty in acknowledging and being true to ourselves.

• I loved the concert, which I found mesmerizing in its beauty, so warm and elegant all at the same time.
• When I came home from the concert I felt different physically - somewhat trance-like, but feeling like I had been bathed and filled with something very deep, rich, and meaningful.

• What a wonderful concert. It was like a journey into the world of hopes and dreams. I was riveted throughout. Two times each year Sound Circle helps me realign my heart and soul.
• Each year you take us on a slightly new and different journey. Always a little unexpected.
• The music washed over me and filled me up!

• Sound Circle just seems to get stronger and stronger as the years go by and the sound more accomplished and rich, the presentation more relaxed and natural.

• A deep truth was touched within me during the Sound Circle concert—opening the concert with those voices, the songs, that closed the concert—bringing the experience full circle—was as if Sound Circle had not been there-the experience was done when it was over—and only the truth, the touch, remained.
• Just got back from the Sound Circle concert. It was extraordinary. They are always fabulous and this one was beyond fabulous. It had a crispness and energy, depth as well as width and a freshness, like you all just baked it right there in front of us, organic and handmade.
• As always, a Sound Circle concert is more than just a delightful event... thoughtfulness and surprises are lovely companions.
• Usually I go away from a concert with the memory of a few good song moments. With this concert, however, I came away filled with a brilliant sense of the whole energy field you wove together
• I always leave Sound Circle concerts feeling so inspired, and rested. You do have so much to be proud of, such works of incredible beauty deeply cultivated over the years… there is nothing like the sound of women's voices, so tender and lovely. The word that came to my mind over and over was "gorgeous"….
  
• We left feeling centered and contemplative. Sound Circle outdid themselves.
