| In 2002, Sound Circle created a performance piece about bodies and body image. Singers' original monologues, songs, and small-group pieces were woven together with full ensemble singing to create a full-length piece about our individual responses to the challenges of being in a body and about living in a society that is awash in complicated and often negative messages about body shapes and sizes. We continued to develop the show, adding new material, through 2004, and performed it several dozen times in a variety of settings, often following performances with discussion circles. | |
